SP 5801 GARSINGTON SOUTHEND (West side) 11/57 Stables, approx 30 metres north-east of Manor House - II

Stables. C18. Limestone rubble with dressed quoins and timber lintels; old plain-tile roof. One storey plus loft. 5-bay front originally symmetrical with 2 stable doors under half-dormer hay-loft doors set between three 3-light small-pane horizontal sashes; door and window to left now altered and garage doors inserted; hipped roof and dormers with the remains of moulded timber eaves-coves. Interior: Roof trusses carry 2 rows of clasped purlins with braces. Virtually-intact fittings include stalls and loose-boxes with hay- racks and 2 moulded stone candle-holders. Tack room to left now serves as garage.
