Tablet on facade bears legend: - "Given by William Barnby 1582. Divided
into 5 cottages 1788. Put in order by the Henley and District Housing
Trust 1938". A range of timber framed cottages. Facades of Nos 8 and
10 are of colourwashed brick. Nos 12, 14 and 16, colourwashed brick and
timber framing faced with colourwashed roughcast. Old tiled roof. 2
storeys, 1 window each, those of 1st floor, 2 or 3 light casements, those
of ground floor, 3 light casements. Ledged doors. At rear a series of
gables, timber framed with brick infilling.
No 2 also forms part of a group Nos 2 to 76 (even) and Nos 1 to 33 (odd)
and the walls associated with Nos 32 to 40 (even)
