3 houses adjacent. No. 1 later C18, Nos. 2 and 3 C17 cased in brick in
C18/C19. Timber frames brick cased, yellow in No. 3 and red in No. 2,
No. 1 of red brick, dark weatherboarding on S side of No. 3. Old red
tile roofs to S but slates on N and corrugated iron covering to steep
roof of No. 3. A row of 3 houses adjoining No. 34 to E and stepping up
in height from E end (No. 3). This is of 1 1/2 storeys with large external
E gable chimney and 3-light attic casement window. N front has window
with external wooden flap shutter and door to right. No. 2 has 2 windows
on each floor and 2 doors in N front. Brickwork of lower part of wall
C18 but C19 in upper part. 3-light flush casement windows. Axial beams
and E gable chimney. No. 1 higher with half-hipped roof and chimney at E
end. Toothed eaves course. One window to each floor and door on left.
3-light leaded casements and plank door in heavy frame. Similar
elevation on S side. Each floor consists of a single larger room at
front (N) and a wooden partition dividing off a narrow rear room with
stair. The partition appears to be an added feature. No. 34, the former
Post Office, not of special interest.
