9/7 Manor Farmhouse

Farmhouse. Late C16, altered C20. Flint with brick dressings and thatched
roof. West facade of 2 storeys. C20 door right of centre beneath C20 gabled
porch. One renewed casement to right and 2 to left. 3 similar casements
first floor, all in reduced openings. Gabled roof. Rebuilt north internal
gable stack. South internal gable stack : rectangular roll moulded plinth
and 2 square flues. Gable heads on rubbed brick kneelers. East side
rendered. Long pantiled C20 outshut of flint and brick to first floor. One
first floor 3-light mullioned casement C16, and one C20 casement. Interior.
Winder staircase by stack. South room with chamfered bridging beam, studwork
in staircase wall. Brick inglenook fireplace. Blocked passage leads to Manor
House in south-east corner. First floor mullioned window has wave moulded
jambs with jewelled run-out stops, as has bridging beam above.
