TG 22 SW BRAMPTON BRAMPTON

6/1 Brampton Hall.

Farmhouse, C17 and later. Red brick with black glazed pantile roof. Two storeys
and attics. South facade of five windows : casements and sashes with segmental
heads. Three early C18 sashes with glazing bars. Doorways off-centre. Central
attic gable with two casements with glazing bars. Parapeted gables. West gable
has two early C18 sashes with glazing bars, and attic casement. Stone tablet,
re-set, with the date 1595. Evidence of earlier window openings with brick
drip moulds. Three large external chimney stacks on north wall : one-storey
and two-storey lean-to's on north side : one-storey flint and pantile lean-to
at south-east corner.
