TG 02 NE WOOD DALLING FRONT ROAD

House. c.1600 and later. Red brick, partly colourwashed; traces of diaper
work on front elevation. Steeply-pitched pantile roof. Two storeys. East
facade six windows wide, unevenly-spaced: wide sashes with glazing bars, two
small casements, one beside stack at north end. Off-centre doorway, original
oak frame with wide chamfers and 4-centred arched head. Ridge chimney stack
off-centre to south, rebuilt, with four lozenge-shaped shafts. Crow-stepped
north and south gables with moulded brick eaves corbels. Internal stack on
north gable T-shaped with three octagonal shafts on moulded bases. Blocked
attic windows in north gable. West side partly colourwashed: 2 and 3-light
C20 casements with glazing bars. Catslide roofs over red brick stair outshut
with splayed angles and small C20 lean-to.
