Stable block. Circa 1830 in process of extensive reconstruction at time of
resurvey (August 1987). Roughly coursed limestone rubble; artificial stone
slate roof replacing original stone slates, hipped to north-west end of
north-east range. L-plan. 1½ storeys, stable flanked by coach houses with loft
over, altered internally in late C19 and late C20. Front (south-east) elevation
gabled to ends, the cross roofs at higher level than the main roof. Each gable
has round-headed opening (window to left, door to right) above side doorways
fitted with double-leaf doors. Boarded door to centre, flanked by 2-light
casement windows with glazing bars (c.f The Dower House). Included for group
value.
