Farmhouse. Probably C17 with later remodellings. Possibly formerly timber
framed, refaced or rebuilt and eaves raised in coursed limestone and
sandstone rubble mix; C20 slate roofs. Baffle-entry plan with flanking
projecting gabled cross-wings. Two storeys. Stone ridge stack above door
off-centre to right. Main range with C20 three-light casement on each
floor and boarded door to right; right-hand cross-wing with first floor
C20 two-light casement and ground floor C20 three-light casement; left-
hand cross-wing with C20 two-light casements on each floor in right-hand
return front. Later one-storey gabled C19 addition to front of left-
hand cross-wing with integral brick end-stack, 2-light casement and half-
glazed door. INTERIOR: large fireplace and chamfered beams. Despite
altered fenestration, the C17 farmhouse retains much of its original
character and lies parallel to Bryn-y-Cagley Hall (q.v.).
