Stable block approximately 50 metres to south-east of The Hurst

Stable block. Early C19. Coursed and squared dressed limestone with slate roof. Two storeys and attic. Moulded wooden eaves-cornice, central octagonal cupola with ogee capping, and central gable over clock. Segmental-headed casements, some retaining leading, central doorway and one to right with segmental heads and overlights. Clock in an egg and dart surround with ogee shaped lower part springing from a foliate console; double-headed eagle-crest of the Morrises (the family for whom the house and buildings were built. cf.The Hurst)
