11/95 Stables approx. 30 metres
- to south of Hogstow Mill


Stables. Probably late C18 or early C19. Squared and coursed and
uncoursedyellow and grey sandstone rubble with red brick dressings; plain
tile roof. One storey and loft. Dentil brick eaves cornice. 3 boarded
loft doors; 5 round- and depressed-arched 2-light wooden windows with
3 alternating round- and depressed-arched stable doors. Apparently built
in three phases (see two straight joints). Interior not inspected. The
stables form part of a complete mill group including the mill (qv), a house (qv),
and a barn (qv). Included for group value.
