Cottage. Late C17 with later additions and alterations. Timber framed
with painted brick infill, plinth and addition; slate roofs. Single-cell
plan extended by short lower range to right in late C19 or early C20. One
storey and attic. Framing: square panels, 2 from high cill (painted
black and white in imitation of timber frame) to wall-plate; long straight
tension brace to left corner. Long straight tension braces and jowled wall
posts to left gable end, which has queen-strut truss. C19 casement to centre
on ground floor with C20 gabled eaves dormer to right. Entrance through C20
door under contemporary lean-to hood to left gable end. External red brick
end stack to right with top rebuilt in late C19 or early C20 brick. Late
C19/early C20 extension has segmental-headed casement to front.
