Cottage. Mid-C17, eaves raised mid-C18 with later additions and
alterations. Timber framed with rendered infill on red brick plinth;
slate roof. 2-cell plan. 2 storeys. Framing: square and rectangular
panels, 3 from cill to original wall-plate with one above to raising of
eaves; long straight tension braces. Collar and tie beam end trusses
with slots for original single purlins. Three C20 casements to ground
floor with one C19 fixed-light window to far left. C20 casement directly
below eaves to centre and C19 casement to far right; all windows in
panels of framing. Entrance through C20 panelled door in contemporary
gabled porch attached to left gable end. Internal red brick end stack
to left and external end stack to right, both with moulded capping. C19
brick lean-to to right gable end.
