Washing place. Uncertain date. Rubble stone. In segmental arched recess, with two other arches in the recess marking the inflow from 2 streams, the whole now well below road level. Located under the access stairs to the outhouse of Bridge Cottage (qv), and significant in the earlier history of the settlement.
