2/35 Bridge Cottage

Cottage. Dated 1811. Local stone with Bath stone dressings; plain clay tiles between coped gables; brick end chimney
stacks. 2 storeys; 5 bays, of which bays 1 to 3 represent the original house. Plain ashlar surrounds to 12-pane sash
windows, with 6-panel door in plain surround to bay 2, above which is stone plaque with letters E/IM in reversed heart
shape, and date 1811; brick surrounds, with stone staircase up to blocked doorway on South gable (under which is the
Washing Place qv). Single storey extension on North gable of stone with triple roll clay tile roof. Interior not seen.
