'Here lie the bodies of Sir Giles Daubeney, knight, and also Dame Joan, his wife, daughter of Sir John Darcy, Baron Darcy and Meinill, which same Giles died the eleventh day of the month of January in the year of our Lord 1445, and the forementioned Joan, his spouse, died, on whose souls may God have mercy, Amen'
