ST0937 STOGUMBER CP VELLOW ROAD (West side)

Farmhouse and barn, now cottage with garage. Cottage: C16, possibly altered C17 and C18. Red sandstone random rubble,
thatched roof hipped to right, stone stacks left gable end and right of cross passage. Plan: possibly open hall house
ceiled to 3 cell and cross passage. One and a half storeys, 3 bays, 3 and 4-light wooden casements, eyebrow dormers
first floor, ground floor 2 windows right and one left of entrance flanked by raking buttresses, another end bay left,
plank door. Interior: jointed cruck truss roof, remains of stair bay to right of left gable end fireplace, right gable
end wall probably rebuilt C18, chamfered beams with enriched stops. Threshing barn, C18, red sandstone random rubble,
thatched, 6 bay collar and principal roof.
