Dated 1859.
Large house prominently sited at the north-west end of Causeway Terrace. Random rubble
red sandstone and dressed stone details, vertical slate hanging to roadside front,
slate roof with coped gables. Three-storeys plus attic and basement. Two windows
to main elevation, sashes with glazing bars, dressed stone reveals, voussoirs with
keystones. Roadside elevation 2 windows per floor plus single attic window, all sashes
with glazing bars. Two 2-storey extensions at rear, hipped slate roof, rubble stone-
work and render. Single sash window, panelled door. Later single-storey lean-to to
extension with tiled and glazed roof. Low stone walls, square gate piers, sections of
cast-iron railings and 2 gates on north-east and north-west sides of house.
