10/51 Wall enclosing raised garden to
North and East of Lydeard House

Garden wall enclosing the raised garden rear of Lydeard House (qv) on the North and East fronts. Late C18. Hindu -
Moorish style. Red sandstone random rubble plinth with limestone wall of pierced narrow arched openings about 1 metre
in height. Piers, square with moulded caps, walls swept and ramped up to them with pierced stonework. East wall
interupted by C20 insertion of flight of 5 steps with red sandstone random rubble dwarf walls swept back. North wall
recedes and breaks forward with picturesque asymmetry.
