South west aspect. C15 west tower built of limestone ashlar. Three stages with string courses, diagonal buttresses emerging from the step of the first stage. Embattled parapet with gableted corner pinnacles. Weathercock on top of a pyramidal metal frame. In the second stage, the south wall has a tiny trefoil window, and to the right below it, a loop. The rest of the church was rebuilt 1865-6 by William Smith of roughly squared syenite, an igneous rock. (Photo Mar 2009).
