TF 1209-1309 MARKET DEEPING MARKET PLACE
(north side)

Originally 3 houses, now house, 2 shops and offices. c.1840,
altered C20. Coursed squared limestone rubble with ashlar quoins
and dressings, hipped Collyweston roof, 2 ashlar wall and single
ridge stacks. 3 storey, 6 bay front, the end bays are slightly
advanced, having plain plinth and moulded string courses.
Central open doorway to rear with to left double panelled doors,
both with rusticated ashlar surrounds with keyblocks. To right
is a canted bay window with moulded stone cornice and a half
glazed door with overlight. The end bays have shallow
rectangular bay windows with 3 semi-circular headed lights and
ashlar pilasters. To first floor 3 plain sashes with moulded
eared architraves and cill brackets are flanked by single semi-
circular headed lights with plain ashlar surrounds and panelled
aprons. To second floor are 3 smaller plain sashes with moulded
architraves and cill brackets, flanked by single triple windows,
also with moulded architraves. Included for group value only.
