The Old House

G.V. II

Barn and stable yard. Late C18. Coursed limestone rubble with
ashlar quoins and dressings. Collyweston slate roofs, stables
have earthenware ridge louvres. Courtyard plan. Single storey
tall one bay barn with full height opposed central opening and
vertical breathers. 7 bay crown post softwood roof. To left an
L-shaped range of single storey stables with planked door to
gable and to the side a further blocked door and another planked
doorway flanked by single louvred lights. To the right a range
at right angles with 5 planked doors and 2 louvred openings. All
openings have segmental ashlar heads.
