Gate Pier in Lockington Park 220 Metre South East of Lockington Hall

A Grade II Listed Building in Lockington-Hemington, Leicestershire

Gate Pier at Old Entrance to Lockington Hall

Uploader's Comments

This gate pier (right of photo) is one of a pair at the former entrance to Lockington Hall. There are no remains of the gate fittings but 4 filled holes show where a fence or wall would have run from the outside of the pier. The gate piers are now largely hidden from view in trees and undergrowth behind a brick wall on Church Lane Lockington. The entrance to the hall is now on Main Street Lockington.
