Early-mid C20 by Louis de Soissons. Duchy of Cornwall Estate. Large square block
of flats with central courtyard. Dark red brick with subtle diaper of darker
and lighter headers. C18 English style. Parapet before rounded tiled mansard
roof with wide flat dormers. Four storeys and attic, nine-bay centres and three-bay
sides on each face; central entrances. Sash windows with glazing bars, some tripartite.
Rows of four Venetian windows with interlaced bars emphasise centre sections.
Facades varied by canted bays with tile-hanging between floors. Round arched
main entrance has Prince of Wales feathers above.
Bolection moulding and name plaque to north entrance.
