Mid/late C19. Stock brick with bracketed stucco eaves cornice and blocking course.
Bands at 1st and 2nd floor sills. 3 storeys, 2 windows each with moulded stucco
architraves, those of 1st floor with bracketed labels. Ground floor with 3 light
windows. Paired doors with stucco surrounds and engaged pilasters with composite
capitals. No 236 has rusticated ground floor and simple door.
The Victoria Veneer Mills and Nos 236 to 256 (even), 274 to 302 (even), The
Crown Hotel, The Royal Cricketers Public House, form a group with the Lodge
at Crown Gate West, Victoria Park.
