Terraced house abutting side of No. 37 Crawford Street q.v. c.1811-23, as
part of J.T. Parkinson's Bryanston Square Portman Estate development.
Stock brick with stucco ground floor; concealed slate roof. 4 storeys and
basement. 2 windows wide. Semicircular arched doorway to left with inset
Greek Doric columns carrying doorhead, panelled door and fanlight.
Recessed glazing bar sashes, under flat gauged red brick arches to upper
floors. 1st floor plat band and parapet with coping. Cast iron area
railings with urn finials to north side, early C.20 railings to front.
No. 8 forms part of the formal setting of St. Mary's Church, Wyndham
Place q.v.
