Terraced 1st rate town house. 1760s Portland Estate development. Stock brick
with channelled stucco ground floor; slate roof. Astylar front distinguished by
fine Chambers-like Doric porch and good set of railings with lampholders.
4 storeys and basement. 4 windows wide. Semicircular arched rusticated doorway
in 2nd bay from left with Doric columned shallow porch and triglyphed dosserets
to open pediment with panelled soffit. Recessed sashes, under flat gauged
arches to upper floors. Plat band over ground floor stuccowork. Parapet with
coping. Early to mid C19 iron balcony. Wrought iron area railings with flambé
torch finials swept up steps with scrollwork lampholders and link
extinguishers. Interior retains good features with front compartment staircase
with wrought iron balustrade, plasterwork and statuary marble and carved
chimneypieces ; etc.
