Terraced houses. c.1815-20 Portman Estate development. Stock brick,
No. 49 with channelled stucco ground floor and plain stucco ground floor
to No. 51; concealed slate roofs. 4 storeys and basement (No. 49
slightly lower storey height). 2-window wide fronts. Semicircular
arched doorways to right; panelled doors with pilaster jambs carrying
cornice-heads beneath fanlights, that of No. 49 patterned. Semicircular
arched ground floor windows; recessed glazing bar sashes, under flat
gauged arches to upper floors. Plat band over ground floor. Parapets
with stone copings. Cast iron geometric pattern balconies across 1st
floor. Cast iron area railings, No. 49 with pineapple finials and No. 51
with torch finials.
