House. 1830-40. Ashlar with slate roof. Central-staircase
plan with 5 bays and 2 storeys. Projecting plinth, eaves
cornice with blocking course and hipped roof. Central door
(C20) with pilasters, segmental fanlight and hood on
consoles and an elaborate decorative cast-iron trellis porch
with swept lead roof in the Regency fashion. Symmetrically
arranged windows, 4 on ground and 5 on first floor, with
replacement C20 casements. Chimney stacks to left and rear.
Addition to rear left of later C19 with guilloche frieze.
Interior: rich cornices. Pedimented doorcase and original
mantel to principal room. Dogleg stair with shaped brackets
on cut string and scroll stop to handrail.
