Pair of houses. 1840's. Stucco with slate roof. 2 storeys
with basement, 2 bays to each house. Top frieze and
modillioned cornice. Quoin strips. Ground floor tripartite
sashes with angle pilasters and entablatures. 1st floor
windows have architraves and consoled dentilled cornices,
central blind window has frieze and segmental pediment.
Windows are sashed, no glazing bars. 2 iron 1st floor
balconies. No. 39 has 1930's porch to return. No. 41 has
tripartite sash to basement and entrance in return wing with
angle pilasters and round-headed blind window above with
keyed architrave.
