11/275 Jackson monument, in churchyard,
about 0.5m south of south-east
corner of vestry, Church of St.
Peter and St. Paul

GV II

Long pedestal tomb: first decade C19; stone. Slightly weathered
lid, moulded edge, slightly indented corners on long sides. Sides
raised rectangular panel, moulded edge, scalloped corners
containing paterae. Ends elongated pilaster, capital fluted
sections alternating with paterae: raised panel with moulded edge
on face of shaft. Some italic lettering. Commemorates William
Jackson, died 1806, Elizabeth, his wife, died 1804: various other
inscriptions up to 1851.
