House, now house pair. Later C16 or early C17, with early-to-mid C19 facade
to left. Timber framed with plaster infilling to right of stack, red brick
in Flemish bond under and to left of stack. Plain tile roof. 2 storeys, on
rendered plinth. Section to right of stack comprises one timber-framed
bay, close-studded, with jetty to front. Gabled. Slender projecting brick
stack to left, and ridge stack immediately to left of right end bay.
Irregular fenestration of three 3-light casements; two to left section, one
to right. Segmental heads to left ground-floor windows. Boarded door with
segmental head to centre of left section, to Cliff Cottages and panelled
door with segmental head under stack. C20 door to Cliff House in addition to
rear of right gable end. Short rear return wing to left with rendered left
side, brick gable end, lower eaves and half-hipped roof. Interior: only right
end inspected. Exposed framing. Roll-moulded cross and axial beams to ground
floor, ovolo-moulded axial beam to first floor. Fireplace with wooden
bressumer. Left side of stack said to have stone fireplace.
