House, originally a free school. 1575, raised and altered 1675, (Kegworth Local
History Group), with later C19 and C20 alterations. Some timber framing with
diagonal bracing is exposed to front. Right gable also has original collar and
principal rafters, but supplemented by other C20 half-timbering. Rubble stone
bask and lower part of left gable wall. Otherwise rebuilt, roughcast and white-
washed. C20 plain tile roof, small rebuilt brick chimney to right. 2 storeys;
3 bays. Irregular C19 and C20 horizontal sash windows of 2 and 3 lights. C20
canted oriel window to ground floor right. To centre is a C20 door in wooden
surround with minimal wooden hood. Traces of several other blocked doorways.
