House pair and shop. C16, part clad mid C19. Timber framed and rendered with
plain tiled roof. Three framed bays. Two storeys and basement with continuous
jetty with moulded bressumer, underbuilt to right (no.36). Roof hipped with
gablet to left and stepped forward slightly to no.36. Stacks to rear left and
to rear right. Sash to right and leaded wooden casements to left of 3, 1 and
2 lights on first floor, and 3 light leaded wooden casement with shutters to
left, 3 light plate glass window to centre, and canted bay at end right. Door
of 6 raised and fielded panels and rectangular fanlight and half-glazed door
with rectangular fanlight to centre and panelled door in panelled surround to
centre right. Interior;framing details show nos. 36 and 37 are of one build
despite external differences; originally with complete continuous jetty, with
undercroft to no. 36. Elaborately moulded joists. Rear additions early C17.
