House and store, formerly 2 houses, mid-to-late C18th. Sandstone rubble
with roof of slate at front and stone slate at rear. Each house has
similar facade, although store appears to have been built onto present
farmhouse. Each is of 2 bays and has 3-light windows with flat-faced
mullions and a surround with slight chamfer. Each has a door with plain
stone surround between bays. The present house, to the right, has an open
stone porch with flat flagstone top. Chimneys on gables and between house
and store. At the rear the house has a stair window with 3 flat-faced
transoms. The store has a stair window of 3 lights, with a further light
above and below the centre light forming a cross. At the rear the roof has
copings with kneelers. Inside, the store has 2 stone fireplaces visible,
the front one with moulded mantel.
