First World War memorial, after 1918. Sandstone ashlar and bronze.
Comprises an octagonal pillar with moulded base and cap, mounted on an
octagonal platform and surmounted by a cast statue of a soldier with a
rifle. Plaques record the dead of Slaidburn, Dunsop and Newton.
