Barn, dated 1739. Coursed sandstone, stone slate roof. Originally 4
bays, extended by one bay at north end; 4th bay breaks back, 3rd bay
has opposed wagon doorways; 1st 2 bays are lofted, the 1st having a
ground floor window and 1st floor loading door, the 2nd a small window
and a board door. Tie plates beside and above wagon doors. Left gable
end has 3 doors (that on the right altered as sliding garage door), at
1st floor a square datestone lettered in relief S and an attic window;

2 iron tie plates at 1st floor level, and 2 corner tie plates at each
side. Various ventilation slits. Rear wall has at ground floor a square
opening with splayed stone head. Interior: stone partition to 2nd and
3rd bays, topped by a brick arch; some original standings in 1st 2 bays;
roof trusses with kingposts and fishbone struts.
