Two cottages and house, probably early C18 to early C19, forming a
row stepped up slope; now 2 dwellings. Sandstone rubble (quoins to
cottage at left end) stone slate roof on 3 levels with 4 chimneys.
All 2 storeys; cottage at left end of one bay (and slightly canted),
others of 2 bays with 2 windows each floor. Corn Hill House at
right end has sashed windows with glazing bars, brick window heads and
door surround; otherwise, all fenestration altered. Cottage at left
end has long rear extension running into slope, where ground floor of
rear bay is vaulted cellar with stone recesses and furnishings, possibly
a curing house. Item forms group with Corn Hill facing (q.v.). Included
for group value only.
