Stained glass east window by Oconnor: In honour of God and in memory of Thomas Dawnay this window was place by his three nephews in the year of our Lord 1851. Panel 1. Angel with banner: Rejoice in God our (lawmaker or redeemer?). 2. Moses with commandment tablets and two beams of cerebral light. 3. Jesus as an incarnation of God. 4. Abraham (his descendents forever blessed). 5 Angel with banner: Blessed Lord in eternity.
Some of the very light parts of the window may be in danger of leaching out in the rain: Window makers of this time were experimenting with alkaline glass, which sometimes, over a century later, turns out to be insufficiently stabilised. (Photo Sept 2013).
