House, C. 1870. Red brick with light headers, and storeys and 3 bays with
central gable, each bay containing a 3-light casement window with gothick
pointed lights, beneath dropended hoodmoulds. Additional upper window in
gable. Fulrance in west gable end. Pair of axial stacks flank the central
gable. Possibly one of the houses described in Whites Directory of 1879 as
"recently rebuilt in a very tasteful manner by Earl Howe," it certainly has
the hallmark of estate architecture.
