Holly Tree Farmhouse

A Grade II Listed Building in Hoton, Leicestershire

Holly Tree Farmhouse, Wymeswold Road, Hoton

Uploader's Comments

Farmhouse, a C18 refronting of an earlier building. Brick with Swithland slate roof. The rubble stone plinth on the principal facade does not extend all the way, suggesting that the furthest section was added only when the refronting took place, since it lacks this plinth, although the dentilled eaves cornice is continuous across the entire facade.
Timber frame visible in left hand gable end: corner posts, middle rail and arch braces, with some rubble to fire back, and clear indication of the front being heightened. (Photo Dec 2014).
