Uploader's Comments

Stained glass left panel St Mary Blessed Virgin, right panel St John the Evangelist holding a cup of poison. These two traditionally flanked the crucifix in the rood loft over the chancel screen. Inscription Christus factus est pro nobis obediens usque ad mortem, mortem autem crucis. Philippians 2.8 Translation. And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of crucifixion. (Photo Nov 2013).
