Front, rendered and colourwashed, wing of house looks Georgian and is probably late C18, raised and altered late C19. Sash windows in plain reveals. Central door with rectangular fanlight, wooden surround and wooden cornice hood on cut scroll brackets. Steps in front. The door to the right has a smaller, matching, doorcase. Left gable end has lean-to glass conservatory, from which extends a garden wall with a C19 stone doorway. This doorway has a 4-centred arch with traceried spandrels and heraldic stops to its hoodmould. Rear extensions of red brick are dated 1869 and have monogram of John Grosvenor Young. Traceried stone windows: the one pictured has carved stone foliage. (Photo Apr 2008).
