SK 60 SE MAIN STREET (North Side)

House. Late C16/C17, raised slightly. Probably cruck framed, whitewashed rendered
brick with plinth and thatch roof with 2 brick ridge stacks and a right end stack.
1 1/2 storeys of 5 casements, 3-lights, but for 2-light 2nd from left. Central
recessed door with thatched canopy. 3 eyebrow dormers : 3-light, 2-light, 3-light,
and a 2-light under the eaves to right. Said to be cruck framed: C.B.A. Research
Report, No. 42,Cruck Construction, London, 1981, p.131.
