The schoolmaster was the Vicar, who educated fee-paying scholars as wel as those funded by charitable donations. The building was substantially restored in 1856 under the direction of the Leicester architect, William Parsons, who was an old boy of the school, and again in 1926, 1958 and 2001. (Photo Jul 2007).
