Includes No 106 church Road.
School and schoolmaster's house, now two houses, c1851. Flemish bond red brick
with gauged brick dressings; Welsh slate roof, hipped to Woodbridge Road elevation
and otherwise gabled; brick ridge stacks. Double-depth plan. Elevation to
Woodbridge Road of 2-storey, 4-window range has semi-circular arch over 6-panelled
door with plain fanlight set in moulded architrave with panelled reveals; flat brick
arches over 12-pane sashes; moulded wood cornice. Similar 3-bay elevation to
Church Road, with semi-circular arched entry to porch which is set back to right.
Double-gabled range with dentilled cornice and segmental-arched windows to rear of
Church Road elevation. Interiors not inspected. No 47 built as a schoolmaster's
house and formerly linked by a doorway to the boarding school, now 106 Church Road.
