GV II

House, mid 18th century. Whitewashed brick, steeply pitched pantile roof.
Two storeys and attic. Three widely-spaced irregular bays; sash windows
with glazing bars. Off-centre doorway with six panelled door, the two upper
panels glazed. Eared architrave surmounted by pediment on pulvinated frieze.
Two small square casements with glazing bars flanking doorway. Brick dentil
eaves. Parapeted gables. Chimney stacks off-centre on ridge line and at
east gable. 20th century door and window openings in gables. West gable
rebuilt and rendered over, 20th century. On the south side, an off-centre
gabled two-storey projection flanked by slated lean-to's. Gabled attic dormer
with 2-light casement. Interior: contemporary staircase with three turned
balusters per tread and newels with Doric capitals, possibly re-set. Some
dado panelling in ground floor rooms. Fireplaces with eared surrounds.
