Former farmhouse. Early C18 and later. Colourwashed brick and some flint
rubble with slate roofs 2 storeys with attic and a 4 bay facade. One
intermediate bay and the southernmost bay are slightly advanced with rusti-
cated quoins. 5 large sash windows with glazing bars beneath skewback arches
with lightly cambered soffits replace the smaller and more numerous original
windows. Northernmost bay has 4-light modern French windows beneath a large,
re-used, semicircular traceried fanlight of early 19th century date with
a central rose flanked by mouchettes. C20 panelled front door and columnar
porch. Dentil cornice, gable-end stacks and one off-centre axial stack.
Curvilinear gables. Loggia to south of 1972. 3 modern dormer windows to
rear with moulded pediments. Full-height extension to rear also with
curvilinear gable.
