Lamp post. Late C19 for Rothschild Estate. Oak post with wrought iron
standard and brackets. Mounted on a chamfered square oak post about 2m
high a lamp standard about l½m higher supporting an ogee copper cap with
glass dome below. Elaborate scroll work on 4 sides of standard both
supporting cap and clasping head of post. Long ornamental iron straps
with studs run down faces of post with base loops, and separate scrolled
parallel ladder-stay projects on S side with loop at base.
