Farmhouse. C17 with mid-C19 and minor C20 alterations and additions.
Sandstone rubble with stone slate roofs. L-plan with wings aligned east/
west and north/south, entrance elevation facing east, C20 additions to
west, main axial stack and south gable-end stack, entrance towards centre
of east front. Two storeys; east front, two single vertical glazing bar
sash windows to left with one 2-light C20 window to ground floor, gable
end of wing with one C20 window to right of doorway with canopied porch
carried on projecting ends of joists forming brackets supporting shaped
lintel, wooden framed doorway, battened door. Interior not inspected
but reported by RCHM to have timber-framed partition with segmental-
headed doorways (RCHM, Vol I, p 176).
