Farmhouse. Early 19th century for Barrow vicarage, with later C19 extension to rear. Orange-brown brick in Flemish bond, with stuccoed window arches, tarred brick to right return and rendered brick to left return. Pantile roof.

L-shaped on plan: two-room central entrance-hall front with original outshut to rear right containing staircase, and later single-room two-storey wing to rear left with later single-storey kitchen extension. Two storeys, three bays; symmetrical. Central entrance has good wooden doorcase with panelled pilasters and shallow fluted brackets carrying ribbed dosserets, boldly-ribbed frieze and ornate modillioned cornice and hood. C20 part-glazed panelled door in panelled reveal beneath moulded cornice and plain overlight. Slightly-recessed segmental-headed 12-pane sash windows to ground floor with painted stone sills beneath stuccoed segmental arches. First floor has similar windows to side bays beneath shallower arches, and a full painted dummy window to central bay. Moulded wooden eaves board; cast iron gutter with lion's-head brackets. Tumbled-in brick to raised gables. End stacks, that to right shortened. Left gable bears wrought iron letter 'C'. Sash windows with glazing bars to rear.

Interior has round-arched opening to stairhall with panelled pilasters; open-well staircase with slender column balusters and corniced handrail. Round-arched alcoves flanking chimney to ground-floor right. Moulded and fielded six-panelled doors in architraves, moulded skirting boards, panelled hung sash window shutters to front rooms. A good example of local Georgian patternbook building, with some distinctive stylish features; the design of the doorcase is unique and the arched sashes are one of only two examples known in the District's village.
